Created especially for our dress-up wedding party with my wonderful wife Becky Dodman Wainwright. This white jacket had over 400 addressable LED’s sewn into the lining and was controllable by WiFi by anyone that I let access it. It turned out that the person I trusted to control my jacket took advantage of the privilege and promptly blinded everyone by pushing the brightness to max…
One of the buttons on the jacket worked as an electronic button to change the light patterns and switch on/off. It was powered by a standard usb power pack, which somehow lasted all night (20,000 mAh). The jacket barely survived the night, and is in need of some repair (and cleaning) but the concept worked as a first attempt at e-textiles.
